A barn conversion with a field as a garden. The client is a keen gardener. The plot narrows towards the end of the garden. The client required a design which included plenty of planting borders, a pergola, an armillary sphere, an additional spot for a seat and an orchard. A large circular lawn with perimeter gravel and stone path leads to a pergola being the entrance into a second garden. Bordered by Rosa rugosa hedging an intimate second garden was created for an additional place to sit. Beyond, a second pergola leads you through a country gate into the orchard area at the bottom of the garden. A giant sundial was installed next to the main patio area next to the house.
