The build of the large courtyard/entertaining garden within my Culcheth clients’ project has been put on the back burner for a short while whilst we are waiting for the delivery of the 5m square oak gazebo. This will form the cover for the large hot tub. At the moment, everything in this part of the garden revolves around this arriving on site. Until the gazebo is erected into its position, the oak posts for the pergola over the decking cannot be installed and the decking boards can’t be fixed until these posts are in. The block walls for the raised planting border & water cascade feature have been built but are now on hold as we are waiting for the cladding to come from Spain. The two large rolls of artifical grass have been delivered and are waiting to be laid once the steel landscaping edging has been installed for the planting borders around the square seating area. Everything should suddenly come together in the very near future.
As we’ve ground to a halt in this part of the garden it was decided that the brickies could start building the walls for the walled garden – this has happened amazingly quickly and with these erected and the brickies off site, we have moved onto continuing the slate paving in this section of the garden. This paving is also being laid at the rear of the house where there will be another patio area linking the walled garden to the courtyard/entertaining garden via feature oak pergolas.
I will be revisiting the project in a couple of weeks time to have a look at progress. In the meantime here are a few photos of progress so far:
