The owners of this beautifully renovated Victorian villa in Knutsford invited me to complete their overall vision for the property by designing their front and rear gardens and a small walled courtyard. The designs were to be in keeping with the traditional grandeur of the house. My brief was for nothing modern or contemporary but to be sympathetic to the property style, to replace the rotten timber pergola and for a welcoming entrance for business clients. Favorite plants including ferns, hostas, holly and box topiary were to be included – so quite a blank canvas. The transformation is shown below in the photos I took of the three areas before, during and after construction.

This garden is maintained on a regular basis throughout the year by my recommended gardener. He is highly qualified in all matters relating to grass and very knowledgeable with regard to the pruning and up keep of shrubs, hedges and plants. I only give his name to clients who have their gardens designed by Outside Rooms and he now maintains a number of my completed gardens in Cheshire.
