An area of ground to the side of a driveway in Higher Walton, Cheshire. The client brief was for this overgrown and difficult area to the side of their driveway and garage redesigning so that it would provide interest year round, make an impression when they had visitors and which they could use themselves.
After being given the go ahead by the Local Authority the existing trees, apart from a mature oak and sycamore, were cleared and the area was landscaped creating an open lawn with stone path and deep planting borders. Sleeper grass steps give access to a sunny corner next to the garage with a seat beneath a black steel gazebo. Solanum and honeysuckle climb the gazebo and scented shrubs and some perennials are planted close by.

“What was previously a dark, damp, overgrown site has been transformed into a large, clear, open space with lots of interest and colour. The design meets our needs exactly and the planting scheme was perfect. The new garden has attracted many compliments and the whole service was totally professional from start to finish.”
