I’ve just returned from a few days holiday up in the north east of Scotland. One of our days out took us to Stonehaven, a small coastal gem. Once a fishing village and still a working harbour, Stonehaven has a sense of history with the nearby impressive ruined fortress of Dunnottar Castle. After enjoying fresh seafood at the local harbour side pub we ambled along the boardwalk. As we strolled along a wild flower planting and various steel sculptures were a pleasure to see and at the end of our walk a vibrant little seaside garden complete with its own home made sculptures.
I just love being near the sea.
