You may decide to have a planting scheme to accompany your new garden design plans. Or you may feel that your existing borders require some attention or even renewing.
Each planting scheme is unique, tailored for specific aspects and soil type and your taste.
Once the Master Plan has been approved, work will commence on the Planting Plan. This plan is the result of a consultative process with you. Your preferences will be discussed including colour, style and maintenance.
The Planting Plan is an exact copy of the Master Plan but showing the plant size at maturity, its name and location for each planted area.
To accompany your Planting Plan you will receive a Plant List with a comprehensive plant description and a Plant Maintenance Guide. You will also receive an estimated cost of the plants to be included within your design.
Once the hard landscaping is complete the plants can then be sourced and set out in accordance with the Planting Plan in readiness for planting up.
Plant Sourcing requires time and knowledge due to the huge number of species, varieties and sizes available. Plants, trees and shrubs are sourced mainly from local nurseries and a good working relationship has been built up with these suppliers. With our experience if a specified plant is not available a suitable alternative is chosen.
Plants, trees and shrubs are set out in their respective positions following the Planting Plan. The placing takes into account the eventual size of the plant. You can then decide whether you wish to plant up the garden yourself or you would prefer the contractors or a recommended qualified gardener to carry out this service.
EXISTING BORDER RENOVATION
If you would like the borders in your garden to perform better or would like a new planting scheme to compliment your existing garden layout then have a detailed plan drawn up which can be implemented by a landscape contractor, gardener or which you could follow yourself.
The fees for the above will depend upon the size of the project and which service you require. The majority of clients choose to take the full service of Planting scheme design, the sourcing and setting out.
